Extended partial order and applications to tensor products

چکیده
We extend the preorder on k-tuples of dominant weights of a simple complex Lie algebra g of classical type adding up to a fixed weight λ defined by Chari, Sagaki and the author [Posets, tensor products and Schur positivity, Algebra and Number Theory, to appear]. We show that the induced extended partial order on the equivalence classes has a unique minimal and a unique maximal element. For k = 2 we compute its size and determine the cover relation. To each k-tuple we associate a tensor product of simple g-modules and we show that for k = 2 the dimension increases also along with the extended partial order, generalizing a theorem proved in the aforementioned paper. We also show that the tensor product associated to the maximal element has the biggest dimension among all tuples for arbitrary k, indicating that this might be a symplectic (respectively, orthogonal) analogue of the row shuffle defined by Fomin et al. [Amer. J. Math. 127 (2005), 101–127]. The extension of the partial order reduces the number elements in the cover relation and may facilitate the proof of an analogue of Schur positivity along the partial order for symplectic and orthogonal types.

A tensor product approach to the abstract partial fourier transforms over semi-direct product groups
In this article, by using a partial on locally compact semi-direct product groups, we present a compatible extension of the Fourier transform. As a consequence, we extend the fundamental theorems of Abelian Fourier transform to non-Abelian case.
متن کاملFactorization Strategies for Third-order Tensors
Operations with tensors, or multiway arrays, have become increasingly prevalent in recent years. Traditionally, tensors are represented or decomposed as a sum of rank-1 outer products using either the CANDECOMP/PARAFAC (CP) or the Tucker models, or some variation thereof. Such decompositions are motivated by specific applications where the goal is to find an approximate such representation for ...
متن کاملAPPLICATIONS OF PARTIAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS IN STABILITY INDEX AND CRITICAL LENGTH IN AVALANCHE DYNAMICS
In this study, Stability analysis of snow slab which is under detonation has developed in the present model. The model has been studied by using the basic concepts of non-detonation model and concepts of underwater explosions with appropriate modifications to the present studies. The studies have also been extended to account the effect of critical length variations at the time of detonation an...
متن کاملIrreducibility of the tensor product of Albeverio's representations of the Braid groups $B_3$ and $B_4$
We consider Albeverio's linear representations of the braid groups $B_3$ and $B_4$. We specialize the indeterminates used in defining these representations to non zero complex numbers. We then consider the tensor products of the representations of $B_3$ and the tensor products of those of $B_4$. We then determine necessary and sufficient conditions that guarantee the irreducibility of th...
متن کاملOn the Exponent of Triple Tensor Product of p-Groups
The non-abelian tensor product of groups which has its origins in algebraic K-theory as well as inhomotopy theory, was introduced by Brown and Loday in 1987. Group theoretical aspects of non-abelian tensor products have been studied extensively. In particular, some studies focused on the relationship between the exponent of a group and exponent of its tensor square. On the other hand, com...
